M + B’s Wedding at Texas Old Town

Am I late writing this blog? Yes. At this point let’s all just assume that my blogs are going to be at least a year, maybe even two after the event took place. But anyways let’s begin.

M + B got married on a lovely day in October. The couple had chosen to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception at Texas Old Town’s Sage Hall, located in Kyle Texas. We had shot their engagement photos at this same venue about a year prior to their wedding. I honestly think I was the most excited for their wedding out of all the weddings I shot that year. I wanted to see just how far I had come as a photographer during the time between their engagement photos and their wedding. We started the day off with details and getting ready photos. I stayed with the girls while my second shooter tucked in to get photos with the boys.

During the bride’s first looks B and his groomsmen were hanging out in their room, doing what the groom does best in the moments leading up to the ceremony. Struggling to figure out how to put on cufflinks. But look at that smile! you wouldn’t even know he was struggling with it. Don’t worry B! I’ve never been to a wedding where the groom knows how to do their cufflinks.

The ceremony started soon after this, and it was lovely. Lots of happy tears all around. The photo of B trying to hold it together when he sees M is one of my favorites. You can just tell these two really love each other.

Immediately after the ceremony we did the traditional family photos. M has a huge family, so while I could post everything here, it’s easier to just share the link to the full gallery here.

And we could not forget to pop some champagne with the group!

This next part of the blog is just going to be me posting my favorite photos from their ceremony and the portraits afterwards. I literally have no words other than look at this.

Like honestly look at that. Does that not scream Vogue? I remember going back to my husband at the end of the night like Look at this. I made this. I did this. I am insanely proud of how this gallery came out.

The rest of the evening involved Mexican food and a lot of dancing before ending our time together with cutting the cake. The couple chose not to have a big send off, and simply danced the night away until everyone left.

I am insanely proud to see how much my art has changed and grown between the time I did their engagement photos and their wedding day. I am extremely grateful that M + B chose to work with me, and allowed me to see how my art has changed in a year.
