A+B and their Fall Engagement
I’m always late to upload blogs about my clients. It might be December, but I’m FINALLY getting around to uploading about A+B’s fall engagement session. It started as a normal client meeting.
“We’re getting married, and it’s going to be a fall wedding so the engagement session should be fall themed,” B had said. A eagerly cut him off
“We want those Pumpkin Head pictures like Tik Tok!” B turned bright red and quickly explained that his fiancé absolutely adored the trend, and that they felt it would make their Save the Dates and invitations stand out from all the other family members getting married that year. He finished with an “it’s okay if that’s too weird, we don’t have to do it.”
If anyone has ever met me, they know I do NOT shy away from the weird. Especially when it’s a part of a love story. I was MORE than excited to do their session, pumpkin heads and all. The day of the session B and A invited me over to help them carve their pumpkins, they even brought an extra pumpkin for me! If you’ve never tried to fit your head into a pumpkin, let me be the first to tell you it is hard, it is messy, and in Texas it is HOT. But nevertheless, we persisted and within an hour we had two perfectly carved pumpkin heads, and one that fell to the ground and quickly got demolished by their dogs.
We drove out to a local park and quickly got to work. The looks we got carrying pumpkins and photography equipment into a public park were hilarious, especially once the pumpkins went on their heads! At the end of the day they LOVED their images. A let me know that it perfectly represents THEIR love story. It was such a blast to work with this couple, and I cannot wait until their 2023 wedding.
